The upper floors of many downtown buildings have been underutilized for over 60 years, leaving many downtown building ripe for housing redevelopment.

Under Construction

Big Sky Select Properties announced the Northern Lofts development of 18 beautiful new loft apartments under construction in downtown Great Falls. The Northern Lofts will include studio, one- and two-bedroom market-rate rental apartments, with an anticipated completion date in early 2021.

In addition to historic tax credits, the investors are utilizing the downtown Opportunity Zone, a federal economic development program established in 2017 which provides a federal tax incentive for taxpayers who reinvest unrealized capital gains into “Opportunity Funds.”

Under Development

A mixed-use development is planned for the lot behind Milwaukee Station, including 83 market rate apartments, a wine bar, restaurant, fitness facility and some underground parking.
