GFDA Board of Directors
We are governed by a Board of Directors comprised of Investor Members elected by our Investor Members, and representatives of key public and private partners, most of whom are also Investor Members.
Partner designated seats on our Board include:
- Cascade County Commissioner, appointed by the Commission
- Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, appointed by the Chamber Board
- Two members of the Cascade County state legislative delegation, appointed by majority vote of the senators and representatives whose districts are within Cascade County (by practice one Democrat and one Republican)
- Superintendent of Great Falls Public Schools
- Dean of Great Falls College
- President of the University of Providence
- An appointee of the North Central Building Trades
- Great Falls International Airport Authority, appointed by the Airport Board
- Sweetgrass Development, appointed by its Board
- Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians, appointed by its Council
GFDA Council
The GFDA Council began in July 2023 to provide an avenue for members without voting rights to continue to share valuable input and insight. Council members are elected annually by the GFDA Board, and meet at the same time as the Board.
The GFDA Council is comprised of the following:
- Representatives of nonprofits, government, or other institutions that are unable to directly invest in GFDA
- Individuals or business who are not eligible to serve on the Board because they, or a business they invest in, receives grant or loan funds through GFDA/HPF
- Community members who are long-time supporters of GFDA

Executive Committee
Our Executive Committee is comprised of Board officers and additional Directors appointed by the Board of Directors. The Executive Committee is responsible for financial oversight and operations, and is empowered to act on behalf of the Board when necessary.
