GFDA Helps Cut Bank Business Launch Website

Marketplace on Main – “Our Place, Your Space”

Marketplace on Main in Cut Bank is owned by Rod and Lisa Cline, who had their sights on opening a business on Main Street in Cut Bank to help re-invigorate the community.

“We came up with the business idea after listening to the community’s needs,” said Lisa. “They needed a place to buy locally sourced beef and pork, Montana-themed items, a space to hold community events, and more. Marketplace on Main gives people a place to start their business. It’s all about community investment.”

The Clines gave the facade a much-needed facelift. The 4600-square-foot building was a former law office. When it came time to launch their business online, they sought the help of SBDC Advisor Rich Gannon. “As new business owners, website development seemed like a daunting task. After several sessions with Rich, we were able to successfully navigate the platform and create a user-friendly site.”

Marketplace on Main hosts two art studios, several Montana-made products, and locally sourced meat from Happy Steer Ranch and Stick Leg Ranch. They buy on a wholesale basis from larger venders and offer smaller, local vendors a consignment contract. Marketplace on Main’s Motto is “Our Place, Your Space.”
